I am struggling to think of a worst passer of the ball at international level than Daft I mean Delph.
Just about every move by England breaks down when the ball reaches him
20 mins to go so a "worldie" from him then

Hey 'K' how NZ or Blues even could do with a 'Goal' opportunist like Tim Cahill and in Football terms he's nearly an old man forget the passing..
Did I miss something or was there a birmingham city player in the England squad ? No of course not
and there will be no villa players next either

Shane Smeltz has a pretty good record at getting goals in internationals Bris.
Agree with Cahill in respect of the goal getting which is after all the best and most valuable thing to do but he was and is a poor passer, a bad tackler and a dirty barssteward to boot. Don't forget he was said to have been a midfielder despite the poor passing and tackling- presumably because he was too slow to be a forward?
Having said he has achieved a remarkable playing record for his boutique abilities. Archie Thompson is another case in point - people have been telling me for years he can't do this and he can't do that - but the ball keeps flying into the back of the net nevertheless and as you say you can't do better than that.
Don't forget with Cahill too having learned the game in Auckland and not being eligible for NZ he turned his back on Samoa, who he played for at youth level, and that he and his dad were trying to hock him to the Republic of Ireland before Australia came a-knocking. (Thi
