Where will Matt Tootle be next season ?

So what does the future hold for our ex captain Matt Tootle ? An extended stay or pastures new ?

It looks unlikely with the only two weeks of the season to go that we will see him in a Crewe shirt again.

I can't remember an odder last season for any player exiting the Alex.

Will we ever know the real reason why he hasn't been available, there are varying rumours flying around...but he and the club seem to be keeping tight lipped for now.

I'd imagine we'll find out more in the summer after he exists Gresty Road.

Obviously one of Steve's quirks as to why we've not seen him in the running. Shame because he gives his all and we know he's good enough.

I agree, but I hear that there was an underlying perception that the player had returned this season with a different attitude.

Allegedly the Alex had turned down a couple of derisory bids in the summer and the player wasn't happy.

Subsequently there was a showdown after the first game at Fleetwood, and from there things have never been ironed out.

He has been good enough yes, but it just shows how things soon change in football.
