    But isn't that what Europe is? A club exclusively for Europeans? To boot it's a protection racket. I can't think of anything more stupid than having 17 countries with nothing economically in common sharing a common currency, hence the mess and the misery. To make a single currency work you have to have an interest rate which is best for all, not just best for one country. In addition, the rich parts send money to the poor parts in perpetuity. Neither of those things are going to happen. Stupid or not, some form of English-speaking coalition is what would happen if we left the EU, and Abbot supports a British exit...
