While mooching about the house with a face as long as the Trent, my missus put into perspective telling me that Rio Ferdinands wife passed away earlier due to cancer. I suppose it's only football. Poor Rio nice bloke.

Can't comment on whether or not he was a nice bloke but, I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.

When Shankly said "football isn't a matter of life or death. It's much more important" he got it badly wrong. I said the same when there were some rather distasteful posts following the death of Doughty.

Doughty was a decent owner, more of a gentleman and I found it a shock and a loss when he died...only to be replaced by that loud mouthed, Millwall type idiot they have as their owner now, who stands in front of 'we hate Derby' flags and has his picture taken. When he probably didn't even know where Nottingham was until he bought them...won't be a sad day when that bloke goes...imagine our owners acting like he does on Twitter and pretending to be a fan
