Liam will have to start putting the ball in the net if he wants to stay with us. What I envisage is he will be given every opportunity early on to show he can stay because we don't want to spend and then he'll go out on loan again.
Wolves are releasing Cassidy and Clarke, it has been announced today. They are offering a new one year contract to Liam McAlinden.

Not surprised about Clarke or Cassidy, but I personally think Liam is a bit fortunate to have an extension to his contract. He may be benefiting from the club playing safety first and not wanting a repeat of the Sam Vokes saga. He needs to start delivering some goals straight off in the pre season; he can't go on being "one for the future" for ever.
No big suprise with either Cassidy or Clarke being released. Neither player are up to the standard needed. Sometimes in football it's often said 'never go back', at least Clarke can say his three goals since rejoining gave the side nine points. His goal in the 1-4 win at Swindon was quality. His goals against Leeds and Sheffield Wednesday were the ones that gained three much needed points.
Also credit to Cassidy for what he's said regarding Wolves and thanking the club for giving him a chance in the professional game. - view external link
Before we bought Clarke we should have gone all out for Callum Wilson and then maybe Clarke to see if they could keep their form up in a better team. I guess problem was we were League One and Bournemouth were Championship and he did choose right in the end.Although the £2 mil frightened us.Not sure how we would play Clarke but do you think he would have been better playing with ,say Afobe?
Who is a bit like his old mate Wilson.
Zele offered a new contract- didn't see that happening
Leon Clarke has signed for league one side Bury. A three year deal and league one is about his level in my opinion. - view external link
