    Could be a massive player for us next season . Having him back will be like signing a 2 million pound midfielder .

    Needle - I hope you're right, but I'm a bit more cautious than you. I remember too many games where he failed to provide a quick and accurate link between defence and attack.
    If he returns as a regular, I don't see that he provides much more than Lee Williamson, except a little extra pace.
    We would still need an "engine-room" player of the JJ type, because - as the other thread suggests - Evans seems to have fallen away, and I definitely feel Lowe is more of the out-and-out "holding" type.
    I imagine the embargo will mean we are relying on loan-players again, but Spearing didn't provide what we wanted, and I doubt that clubs will be freeing up anyone of real quality, unless a PL team wants to give experience to a promising youngster.
    Perhaps our best hope is that Lenihan and/or O'Sullivan make the necessary progress.
