Reckon you saw a cracking three days worth of cricket then. From what I heard/saw it was a really good battle, with England just edging it each day giving us the advantage overall

Good start day 3 by the English.

Stokes is officially Australia's new Darren Gough.

And then a massive crumble from the English.

    Huge win for Australia.

Now the English look to have problems.

A Lyth: Is he a Test opener?

AN Cook: Captain one of the first picked.

GS Balance: Massive questions great record on paper, but recent 2 series doubts everywhere.

IR Bell: It's Belly you just leave him.

JE Root: Easily best English batsman at present

BA Stokes: Stay's put heart alone

JC Buttler: He's a keeper, is there any other choices???

MM Ali: Not a great spinner, but keeps taking wickets

SCJ Broad: Best bowler currently and very handy with the bat

MA Wood: Something different with the ball

    JM Anderson: Where was he????

Top 3 all left handers lets the bowling attack settle into line and length, bring in Alex Hayles to open and move Root to 3. Bell out of touch, Butler is an ODI batsman who moved to Lancs cos he wasnt good enough to play behind the stumps at Somerset, Bairstow is on fire with the bat at Yorks in the longer form of the game. No point bringing in Footitt (left arm quick) as the Aussie batsmen face left arm in the nets all day. We need to grow a pair and produce a pitch that suits OUR bowlers not just to nullify johnson/starc.

    Lyth- OUT...Hayles
    Cooke- Stay...Cooke
    Ballance- OUT...Root
    Bell- OUT...Moheen
    Root- Stay...Bairstow(WK)
    Stokes- Stay...Stokes
    Butler-????...Billings(Kent)
    Moheen-Stay...Rashid
    Broard- Stay...Broard
    Wood- Stay...Wood
    Anderson- ????...Overton(Somerset)

Not ideal but all in form, probably still get hammered .

Nah mate, that would be NUTS (sorry couldnt resist).

James Taylor is another (got 291 yesterday) but the selectors think he's too small (bout 5ft tall) and that taller bowlers with natural pace n bounce will eat him. We had good quality youngsters who were denied the experience needed to beat the Aussies by a selection policy that rewarded poor performances by the old guard. Hayles, Billings, Bairstow, Rashid, Taylor, Stokes should all have 30+ caps by now. Any young bowlers have been kept out by Broard and Anderson(Cooke's confidants) who only perform 1 in 4 test matches. There's a lad down at Es*** Tyrone Mills, very fast and very aggressive (keeps smashing Cooke in the nets, so much so Cooke wont let him bowl at him), just not very P.C. or respectful of authority.

It will take another inept Aussie performance for us to win another test, the 12th man of the Edgbaston crowd may also play a part. We can but live in hope.

Australian batting was terrible at Edgbaston!

Can't believe the contrast between these performances from both teams. Voges and Lyth will prob be replaced for Trent bridge.

Losing Anderson is a massive blow for us, reckon the Aussies will win and it'll all be down to the final test at the Oval.

    3 one sided test matches.
    Clarke should go, but won't.
