If I re call on a previous Forum when this new Company was set up. Rowlinson was against it?and never put his shares into it, but like you say he even does not say anything about it.
Three things
Who decided the shares were worth millions when the ground is in an industrial brown field site? The club says its making a loss almost every year and so its technically bust and worth nothing.
Secondly, Norman Rowlinson passed on tens of millions of pounds to his family and as there are two members on the board. Why are they not active in doing something about this long standing sore?
Thirdly and just as important in some respects. We hear what Smurthwaite wants for Vale and ditto what Coats is looking for with Stoke and yet when was the last time we heard from the Chairman of this club?
We really know nothing about what goes on at this club. Nothing about how much the academy is costing (sorry) Nothing about how many non football employees we have and what that is as a proportion of the football playing budget? We know nothing about the wages they all get and how that compares with other clubs so we can see how they can pay more than we can? etc etc.
All we kno

Just to see how this club keeps all the fans in the dark. Smurthwaite said last night on RS that his playing budget this next season will be 1.7m pounds and he will need to put 350,000 pounds of his own money in. And he added they still need to sign a striker.
Why can't CAFC be as honest? When was the last time any director or any Chairman put their own money in? Norman R 30 odd years ago? The Directors seem as though their position on the board is an honorary non intervention one whereby they can turn up in the best seats for nothing when all other supporters have to pay their hard earned money out.
If that's BS, then its up to them to tell us why that is.
What IS our playing budget?
How much are the Directors putting in and when?
What is the plan for this season if we carry on as we did the last two?

I have to say the concern here amongst most of the supporters us that we've been in this division for 4 seasons but just scrape it. Not because we deserve to be in the league but we got lucky 2 seasons running. The issue here is each season the squad gets weaker and weaker as apparently we've too many high wage earners. But how is it we get rid of high earners each time and bring in cheaper replacements but continue the cycle every season? At what point do we stop saying we need to get rid of our highest earners?

Nobody except Norman knows because he shifted the trade to a new company. This usually means an instant 3 division relegation (Rangers, Aldershot) but has not for Vale.
