    The last loan signing to benefit the club?

    Who was it?

    From back to the days of Dani through to jenkinson, I can only think of kanoute as a loan signing that actually benefited the club.
    Players like Dani came over for a 6 month party and Jenkinson worked hard but has left us with a gun to our head to pay a £2 million loan fee for 1 season or go and start again. The jenkinson loan has only benefited Arsenal.

    With this in mind, why bother? permanent or stick with what we have.

    Admittedly successful loans are few and far between but Hugo Porfirio and Chris Powell spring to mind .
    I'm sure there a few more ...
