Charlton make a winning start to pre-season in their first friendly against Welling Utd with a 2 - 0 victory.

The two goals were scored by Karlan Ahearne-Grant in the first six minutes. In the third minute, he curled an excellent effort inside the far post and side stepped three Welling players before slotting home for the 2nd goal.

From Friday evening 31st July, Charlton's final pre-season friendly against Bolton ended in a 2-2 draw with Charlton apparently playing the much brighter first half and Bolton playing the better football in the second.

Tony Watt scored both the Charlton goals on 43 and 60 minutes; Bolton's goals were scored by Pratley and Feeney on 24 and 46 minutes.

A mostly young Charlton X1 were defeated 2-1 by Chelmsford City on Tuesday 4th August.

Karlan Ahearne-Grant scored for the Reds on 14 minutes, the Chelmsford goals came from Bricknell on 42 and Sawyer on 70 minutes.
