That's awful. He combined so well with Steve Kindon in that season we spectacularly came 11th in division 2 when we were bottom at Christmas.

    RIP

    re: Brian Hall

Might have this wrong, but my memory of Brian Hall's debut with a re-signed Steve Kindon was a 3-1 home win over Notts County in November that was only our second win of the season.

We looked nailed on to be relegated to the third division for the first time but had promotion form in the second half of the season, Hall was a huge part of that, a really graceful player to watch.

A few years ago on one of our BFC bike rides he met us at Anfield and let us all wander all over the pitch and take pictures where some other clubs wouldn't even let us in the stadium.

    Top bloke. RIP Brian.

The last Burnley player to score a winner against the Bar Stewards (some folk on here don't like us talking about Danny Ings any more).

    Peace be with you Brian.

    Dreadful news. RIP Brian.
I had the pleasure of being sat next to him on a flight back from Alicante in May 2000. Happy to talk football. One of the rare breed, an educated footballer.
