according to talksport we had a €2.5m bid for Karlsruhe’s star striker Rouwen Hennings rejected by the German club.
The 27-year-old scored 18 goals in 29 games last season to fire Karlsruhe to 3rd in Bundesliga 2 and establish himself as the top scorer in that division.
Hennings then scored a crucial goal against Hamburg in the promotion/relegation play-off game, but Karlsruhe narrowly missed on promotion to the Bundesliga, losing 3-2 on aggregate to the North German club.
The former Germany Under-21 international is being tracked by a host of Championship clubs, but it is believed that Karlsruhe will hold out for €4m (£2.8m) for the striker.
