left backs: newell, mattock, collins if needed
right backs: richardson, buxton, halford
centre backs: halford, broadfoot, buxton if needed, wood, rawson, thorpe, collins
that leaves 6! not in the starting 11.
yes we are told thorpe and halford can play in numerous positions but I'd rather have my pegs in their corresponding holes
