Sadly, it looks like Congerton and Short are slowly grinding us into the ground. We'll never know what constraints Short puts on the transfers, but apart from Defoe in and Altidore out, the evidence so far (Bridcutt, Buckley, Alvarz, Rodwell) suggests that Congerton doesn't really know his @rse from his elbow. Two failed medicals puts paid the the so-called thorough scouting approach we are supposed to use. Dick is taking a loyal line so far regarding the support from Short and the buys we have made. We'll soon find out whether his faith is justified.

I think alot of it is media hype along with knee jerk reactions, yes there's something not right behind the closed doors, but it's not being helped at all but all the doom and gloom. On paper we are not a bad side, the players we have need a rocket up there arse, even some of our better players are lacking. But it pits it in prospective when we are 1 point behind Chelsea who at the end of the season will be somewhere near the top of the league, if not top. Now we won't be nowhere near that but it's not a relegation battle just yet!
