History will be kind to McCall because over the piece he has a great record and it will be several years until we hit those heights again. That said, his time was clearly up and returning to him now - not for a second I think that he'd be interested - would be a massive mistake.

Some reasonable points made but regardless of LSMs hatred for Stuart McCall, he will be remembered as one of the most successful managers in the clubs history. No amount of personal attacks or attempted belittling will change that fact or indeed make LSMs opinions more valid.

Back on topic, Simo Valakari is reportedly interested in the post. Albeit formed in the Finnish leagues, he has a very good record during his short managerial career.

McCall lost my confidence early doors when capituated to Celtic in Scottish Cup final in 2011.
IMO his lack of tactical awareness cost us that game and he never improved our team.
He got lucky with a poor SPL during his tenure and agree with LSM comments above.
