It will be Mark McGhee with Craigan as assistant. I thought Willie Miller was alluding to that possible outcome on yeterdays scoreboard. Maybe reading more into his assertions but wouldnt surprise me. He knows them they know him , he knows the budget the set up. Still wouldn't be my choice after his less than committed approach to us last time. However maybe club starting to panic and would accept a possible quick fix even it it means him trying to manipulate his ticket out after 6 months. On evidence of yesterday they are right to be panicking we have relegation fodder written all the way through us like Blackpool Rock.

That of course is all on the assertion McGhee wants back into club management but why would his mate Willie Miller throw his about if he wasn't.

Christ almighty another up and coming with no experience of Scottish game. Events of twenty years ago don't count.

Someone has got to be Joking Russell Latapy?? have we given up on being a football club and looking to be a Trinidadian Karaoke Bar. Any time I've seen him interviewed on TV he comes across as thick as two short planks. Im probably being more than a little severe but is that a gamble we are in a position to take right now.

It's certainly not the gamble we need to take right now. We need experience to get us out of the position we are in. of of all thes that are bring mentioned on here McGhee would probably be the best choice. The only problem with taking him on is we would probably be in this position 6 to 8 months down the line after he jumps ship at the first sniff of a job offer.

Keep up with the posts please.
I passed on the information which officially eliminated him almost a week ago at the end of the 'Pressley' thread. ha ha.

"Pressley on Sportsound last night declaring he has no interest in either Scottish vacancy.
Family settled in England and he reckons that's the place to be and stay, no doubt weighing up all the managerial offers he's got.
You can all relax on that one then."]

The announcement of the managers role was only officially released this morning. How many managers asked about jobs say one thing and so something else? So until this morning it wasnt official. So appreciate if you keep ur comments to yourself unless of course your facts were 100% irrefutable at the time.

Let's be honest, whoever we get in, if they do a good job, they will be linked to 'better' jobs and will have an agent hoaring them out at every opportunity.

Mark McGhee is likely thinking if Scotland don't qualify, his jacket could be on a slack nail. Hence, the seamingly sudden yet contrived media spin.

Simo is an absolute non starter for me. He may well go on to become one of the greatest managers of all time but at this stage of his career, he is a tremendous risk to a club like ours in our predicament.

Mixu can feck right off and Latapy is EVEN MORE of a gamble than Simo and barra(boy)clough combined!!!

With seemingly 100 applicants, the field should be strong. Many will be easily sifted, others will walk away when they see what they'll have to do with the dross they'll have to work with. Leaving only a handful of credible candidates with the ability, desire and vision to turn this mess around.

The very same few candidates will have ambition for bigger and better th
