I suspect that Evo turned the Owls job down for far more pragmatic reasons. At the time Wednesday looked dead and buried, there was little money to spend on players, Mandaric is a sacking chairman, and even if a new board had arrived and money had flowed in, a new chairman almost always wants a new man, which of course is exactly what happened and Gray got his cards. The reason why Evo didn't take the Wednesday job then is basically for the same reason that he's leaving the New York now -ly, that he couldn't/can't keep the club in the divison. A man's got to know his limitations, and Evo made the right call.
I don't think we will ever find out whats really gone off at NY, but we can just see that he had no option but to go and him and TS were good friends so he left rather than be sacked and have that on his CV, what ever the reasons its time to move on ...
did TS want quality not quantity and evans was as usual trying to bring in player after player until they fit ? good teams revolve round a core set of regular players not a constant bunch of trialists
as for Wednesday ... would anyone want to work for mandaric ? and then the "land of fire" ! LMFAO
only leeds and the loopy one made Wednesday look sensible
