Narrow it down to five managers with realistic chances of signing. Who would it be?
poyet. strange style of management but knows plenty about the championship. linked well to championship sides/managers so his ability to loan a decent players could come in handy.
stuart gray. not a massive fan but a safe bet. his style will keep us steady over however many years he would steer our ship though don't expect much excitement.
McDermott. loads of experience throughout the top levels. been away from football for a long time (managerial side) though someone mentioned hes scouting for arsenal though wiki says it was till end of 2014/2015 season..
Adrian Pennock. my wild card. his 6 years at stoke under pulis stands him in good stead. downside is hes only managed at non league. exceptional record though (lost 46 games from 173 matches) and still only 44.
struggling to add a 5th. im guna say cloughy. there's plenty of doubt about his style. he has a point to pr

Like 1st 3 and add Paul Lambert
Clough comes and I go
Poyet out of that list.
Same here pete dont want clough
1 Paul Lambert
2 Neil Redfern with Steve Thompson
3 Stuart Grey
4 Dean Smith
5 Paul Cook
Last 2 have got no championship experience. Smith sun says we're after him so must be true. Cook impressed with Chesterfield in last seasons play-offs. Lambert if he'll work with Black pay him Evans & Raynors wages combined.
1. Neil Redfearn, would suit our playing budget, decent coach with the youngsters.
2. Dean Smith, we would have to pay compensation to Walsall, one for the future.
3. Eric Black, would suit our playing budget, already knows the current squad.
4. Stuart Gray, defensive minded manager could possibly take us to 17th / 18th place.
5. Stuart McCall, my wild card. liked him as a player but his heart is with Rangers.
Whoever we get will have the same playing budget ( more or less ) as the last manager.
If you squint through the smokescreen to me it looks like Black will get the job permanently
Black no chance, somebody on another post mentioned Alan Stubbs, possible, looks progressive.
