I'm pretty sure that the Queens v Morton Scottish Cup match video from 11th February 1950 is the one featured by Iain McCartney in the Queens programme from last weekend.

Only last Saturday I saw this and 4 or 5 other old games on Lord Palmerston's lap top in the Palmy Social Club. He was
telling me there are very few films of the Doonhamers in the 1990's for some resaon.

Hi Palmyman, you must have misheard me in the excitement of a hoe win! It was the 1960's that there was a dearth of any tv or film of the Queens....

Sorry Lord Palmerston hit the wrong key and it is a shame there is very little coverage of the Super South in the swinging sixties

It was good to see the Scottish Cup footage of the Morton game from 11th February 1950, with Scotland's goalkeeper at the time Jimmy Cowan in opposition to Roy Henderson, who may well have been Scotland's goalkeeper back then if Cowan hadn't been so good.
