    Bradley Johnson

Chris Martin rightly got the plaudits today.....but I have to say , Bradley Johnson is just what we have been missing ..could be one of our best signings in a long time.he is every where, winning balls he has no right to, and playing Thorne like passes , and scoring.
    Fast becoming an absolute favourite.

Couldn't agree more Paulo...spot on. No disrespect to Martin but I'd make him captain too. He's in a much better playing position to do the job from. The rest of the midfield needs a driving force and he provides it. Couple of weeks back Rats asked if he could be our missing talisman...I really think he could and we'd have been a bit lost without him today. Saw good signs from Butterfield too...perfect chipped pass to Russell late on, sign of things to come hopefully.

A few contenders for motm imo. Obviously Martin and Johnson but also Hendrick and christie too. Christies best game for us that I've seen I reckon.

It's got to be Johnson for me. He is so strong and very rarely miss places a pass. Watching him today every time he received the ball he would look up, left then right and evaluate the best option before picking out his man. He makes Thorne look average!

In what way did he make Thorne look average. He played well and is a fantastic addition but why use that to disrespect other players, Divie!

I think it was just tongue in cheek woolwhacker....a joke.....Thorne is class (a few mislaid passes today mind). Both create a formidable midfield.

Johnson is immense. He's like an NFL player without the padding....strength, power and energy. He can pass, shoot, assist, score. A solid all rounder and he's the type of player that you buy to get you up.

Martin was a real handful today some of his lay offs were sublime but the game was won in midfield, we were crisp in the tackle and seemed to win every second ball. Johnson was tireless, like hissake a few years back. He's got got tremendous upper body strength, vision and is likely to chip in with a double figure goal tally. The early signs are very encouraging. Back to Martin, he's almost unplayable in that mood.

Thanks Ramstein, it's amazing how the written word can be so misinterpreted. My tongue was very firmly in my cheek! Just for the record I think Thorne is class, but Johnson is even better!

Indeed, I think given that Huddersfield viewed Butterfield as their best players, it shows what quality we have. I'm looking forward to seeing him stamp his mark in the team at some stage. It's a long hard season.

Johnson is the Stella signing for me though. Every quality team has a stalwart...Boro have Leadbitter and he's the driving force for them but Johnson has the capability of dominating any midfield in this league.

It's unreal to not be thinking of Bryson...16 goals and would be an automatic on the team sheet.

Johnson was the coolest calmest player on the pitch today.
Seems to make himself so much time on the ball & his strength makes it almost impossible to get the ball off him.
As others have said the game was won in midfield. Johnson being the main reason for that.
