Professional performance against Highland League elite

Amidst other 2nd round cup `shocks' for Clyde and Shire at the hands of Highland League opposition, and Montrose's draw with Lothian, the Lichties win in the far north over the current Highland League champions = outstanding result, - view external link

Totally agree. Wasn't there and haven't heard any match reports but this is a great result against a high scoring, top team. I know the league is the main focus but this is the best result so far this season.

Absolute outstanding result, at the end of the day we are the SPFL club with better players at a higher standard but we were playing at a venue closer to Norway (where Celtic failed) against a free-scoring Highland League leaders club with loads of ex-SPL players backed with loads of ££££££££ so that is what makes this result superb, well done Tod, Hissy, Mike the players and AFC Board and the big support who went up, 36-0, hopefully a home winnable game next.

We rode our luck today against a very lively side. Good defending and sharp finishing again from the Lichties. Once again it took an excellent strike to score against us and we took our chances well.

A great travelling support was really appreciated by the players.

A banana skin if ever I saw one.I did not make it because of the distance from the capital.Looking at other results puts ours in perspective.Well done to the team and fans who made the long trip.

Not the best we've ever played but in the next round and that was the aim. One helluva journey and one I wouldnt want to make too often but a really friendly welcome from the Brora officials and fans (and the result) helped make it a pleasant and long journey worthwhile. Hopefully a home draw next round

Delighted by the result, thats 5 wins in the last 6 now. Didnt make it to this one, but there have been some solid performances by the team, and even the Annan defeat was a case of the team "not quite" connecting rather than an out and out bad performance.

This must be killing the Lumsden oot crowd!
