Sheffield Wednesday and Derby go into the break 0-0. Chances in front of goal have been limited. Hopefully the second half will be much improved.

Only two decent chances in the game so far, Wallace for the home side in the first half and Bradley Johnson's effort in this half.

A chance for both sides in the last few minutes, Bradley Johnson hits the bar and Loovens heads wide for the home side.

It finished as it started, 0-0, both sides matched each other, chances as with an earlier post in the thread, limited.

I hope the Newcastle and Liverpool game is a big improvement.

Just over twenty minutes to go in the Newcastle v Liverpool game and again, not the greatest of games. Benteke with the best chance of the game in the first half.

1-0 Newcastle United, Skrtel diverts the ball past Mignolet from Wijnaldum's effort. It doesn't matter how they go in, they all count.

Liverpool have had a goal disallowed for offside, a decent finish from Moreno, a close call if you ask me.

2-0 Newcastle, Wijnaldum lifts the ball over Mignolet after he was played in by Sissoko. A big win for Newcastle United, they've fought for every ball and tightened up at the back.

Nice to see some weekend upsets from Newcastle, Stoke City and Bournemouth and even Villa drawing on Saturday. These surprises erase the doom and gloom of inevitable defeat that can exist in the minds of the underdog's supporters.
