It's always the same, injuries, lack of strength in depth, a much changed Man.Utd side etc. Credit, where credit is due in my opinion for the way Bournemouth have played. The papers tomorrow will look to increase the pressure on Van Gaal. It's no fluke winning at Chelsea or beating Man.Utd.

Piles more pressure on Villa. The only game they've won all season was at Bournemouth and they didn't deserve that either. Bournemouth play great football, a bit too open perhaps but they can score well enough and I reckon that could keep them in this division.

Now time to get ready to pop out to watch tonight's fight Joshua fight....and find some armchair Man U fans to laugh at!

Aston Villa already a goal behind at home to Arsenal, a Giroud penalty, the only concern for me is how late the ref was in awarding it. Alan Hutton definitely had his arms around Walcott. There's no doubt it was a penalty.

We have been knocked off the internet for 24 plus hours. Watched the Bournemouth game and enjoyed it greatly; many thoughts run through the mind at such times (if them...why not us?) though mostly lust happy to see ManU lose. Being out of the loop of late, and 8,000 miles away, I was wondering where Rooney was...not dressed, injured, rested?

0-2 Arsenal, Villa left with three against one at the back, Ramsey with a tap in. A big ask for Villa in the second half to try and get back in the game..

Wayne Rooney is back in training after getting injured during his side's 1-1 draw at Leicester City at the end of November.

A big chance for Villa and Scott Sinclair, he heads over after a good ball in from Hutton's cross from the right. At least it's got the Villa crowd singing.

The question isn't whether Villa will get relegated or not. The question is if they reach the 20 point mark or not. Dreadful.

And I'm not sure why Remi Garde took the job at the time he did. If I were him, I'd have said "call back in the summer!" So I could build a squad I like from the start

The damage was done in the first half, a couple of chances for Villa in the second half and sub Adama not to far away from pulling a goal back for his team. Arsenal top the table and Villa rock bottom.
