Adam Ant was ace on Stand And Deliver leaping through that window or maybe Vienna.

Loved that story recently when The Nolans were interviewed and Generation X were on the roof of the BBC actually pissing on them and when they asked 'what the **** are you doing' they replied 'we are making a statement' - quality.

Lion Sleeps Tonight was ace as well but I was dead young.

Top of the pops i remember the bbc would have an orchestra playing over great bands and would spoil the music .. the orchestra even went oot n strike was pleased when they left..
they really spoiled one of my favourite songs by Mcfadden &Whitehead singing Aint No Stopping Us Now. Even tried toget the orchestra to play the music for punk bands oh my poor ears.
We young folk at the time didnt want to hear an orchestra we wanted to hear the real thing .
bbc eventually got the message after many complaints in them days it was the day of the pen.no e/mails.
