I wonder how long it will be before PL starts to experiment or change things around. I was interested to see that none of the youngsters even got on to the bench. I am sure that - as he gets to see more of the whole squad - he will start to think about minor changes to suit what he has in mind. He was bound to take a conservative line at first.
As for the match itself, it does sound as if he was blessed with that little stroke of luck which so rarely visited GB. I bet Bowyer reflected on a deflection, a penalty, and a favourable refereeing decision yesterday, and wondered what the gods had against him.

I feel the majority of tinkering will be made on the bench as the first 11 pretty much picks itself this will only change if somebody truly makes a difference when they come on.

Didnt go yesterday so taking in various accounts of yesterdays game.

Yes youre right Robin the first eleven does pick itself which GB finally grasped this season. PL can only work with what hes been left with until such times he can maybe bring in one or two players of his own. What he does have to work on is getting it through to the players we play to win, something PL touched on in his interviews.......
"You can’t have a workplace where mediocre is acceptable,’ he warned. ‘I felt when I first looked around there was an acceptance that we are a mid-table team. I don’t want that, you’ve got to have adrenalin in football."
...something that was seriously lacking under GBs tenure and something we all picked up on.

Kevin Gallagher nailed it on the radio commentary, GB started the game at 0-0 and would hope to pinch games on the break and if we came out of the game at 0-0 GB was a happy man. How many times did we see us trying to play keep ball in our own half in front of our bac

PL or GB , we will find out soon enough . I don`t see many major changes coming up ,so both will have had time to work with the same players (could have said group there but hate the saying) lets see who gets the better results .

The one major difference against Preston was we didn't go into the 2nd half mindful of protecting our single goal lead. We looked to increase that lead, and we did. For me, under bowyer, we wouldn't have done that, and would likely have ended with 1 point instead of 3.
