New League Cup Format and TV Deal

Looks like a new league cup format has been agreed.

    Very rough summary:
    -BT Sport TV Deal
-Introduction of round robin group games at the tail end of July.
-Highland and Lowland League champions will be involved in the groups.
-Winners of groups go through to a knockout phase (much like the current format) where they are joined by teams who qualified for Europe the season before.
-Bonus point is up for grabs in games that finish in a draw with a penalty shootout being introduced at the end. The winner will get the bonus point meaning they get 2 points from the game.

    Thoughts?

hmm well thinking about the extra games this will generate ,il make a bold prediction that this looks like it could be paving the way towards a 16 or 18 team top flight .
