Hundreds of Rams fans signing a petition to get East Midlands Airport to change their logo because they believe it represents a bow and arrow therefore biased towards Nottingham! I have always viewed the logo as being a plane with a vapour trail flying around the globe? Am I the only one embarrassed by this petition? - view external link

Totally agree Stimac...whole thing is pitiful, as was the initial petition to take down the 'We are Derby' poster, but 'tit for tat' doesn't get anyone anywhere.
Should be called Nottingham Airport anyway imo...it's the nearest big city whether we in Derby like it or not and potential passengers from abroad have no idea what 'East Midlands' means. Totally embarrassing, some folk really need to grow up.
When I first read this subject heading I thought I had upset B&W56 again
Anyway, I have it on good authority that Robin Hood was really a Ram, so it is fine!
Tit for tat?....I have a load of old tat......what do I get for that?....could be a nice Christmas,Originally Posted by AnagRam
I saw this and laughed.
But in fairness I beleive the sign was from when they called it Nottingham East Midlands and was to represent that.
Even tho I laughed I think the airport should be city neutral in signs ands.
Don't worry, its the season of good cheer , for now !Originally Posted by Oldtimeram
I must admit it is all a bit daft but actually Derby is the nearest city and not Nottingham, all distances on the globe are as the crow flies but in these days as the aeroplane flies.Originally Posted by AnagRam
East Mids to Derby is 14.44km to Notts its 18.85km and Leicester its 25.21km - view external link
Tbh I couldn't care less. It's petty local pride and only up for debate because people with nothing better to complain about want something to complain about.
Stop complaining then!Originally Posted by RamBamFan
