    Johnny Russell

A few people are critical of JR, believing he is not playing to his potential. When he first joined us he was like a breath of fresh air. His work ethic was, and still is second to none. I think it is more that the caliber of talent in our squad has increased & maybe left him behind a little. Anyone else have any views?

To be fair to the guy, we have changed our style, which is less swashbuckling all out attack than under McClaren and this has impacted on our wide players.

The guy puts a shift in, has won some valuable points either through goals or assists. For his fee I don't think anyone can grumble.

The sad thing is players give their all to get promotion and when successful half of hem will be shipped out because they won't be good enough for the Prem, and so their journey starts again!!!

Ah so thats why they slumped last season??

Not always the case, but for a few certainly, Leicester, Bournemouth, Norwich ahve kept the bulk of their squad with some additions.

Mind you same happens in reverse, often the players that go down from the prem with a club stay to get them back up!!
