Swindon Town legend Paul Bodin has expressed his shock and sadness after learning of Martin Ling’s sudden departure from The County Ground today.
Everyone connected with the Robins was left stunned when it was announced earlier that the 49-year-old had resigned from his post due to health reasons.
Ling – who’s previous battle with depression is well documented – took over the reins from Mark Cooper at SN1 in November and sparked an instant revival, leading his new side to five wins out of six.
