Also Sunderland have recalled loan goalkeeper Jordan Pickford from Preston.
So Preston have signed goalkeeper Sam Johnstone from Manchester United, on a 28 day emergency loan, Johnstone having been on loan previously at Preston during their promotion last season, from division 1 to the championship.
