I watched Red Sparrow last night. Didn't have the foggiest idea what was going on but enjoyed seeing Jennifer Lawrence naked quite a lot.

Watched the 12th man earlier. Norwegian film based on the true story of a saboteur who is the only one of 12 to escape the Nazis and survive to make the long journey to neutral Sweden. Great little film.

    Here's the trailer....

Watched Bone Tomahawk. Western story with a horror twist. Quite liked it.

Dunkirk. I didn't think I was going to enjoy it. I was wrong I thought it was very good. I should have remembered that Christopher Nolan is a very good director.

I rarely watch films, but went to see Funny Cow at the Belmont on Saturday since there was nae fitba.

It was very good, as anything with Maxine Peake starring will be. Alun Armstrong brilliant ana.

Bonus point for Kevin Rowland cameoed in an ageing Peaky Blinder role.

Memorable scene: Drunk fat boy stands up and heckles Maxine as she begins her act. She responds, "I was just about to describe a c**t and you beat me to it".

Yup but in a good way.

Unfortunately the guy who directed it John Landis son is a writer in Hollywood,he is in the process of writing a remake.

They really should leave classics alone,it never works.

Just finished watching Chappaquiddick. It covers the 1969 incident where Senator Ted Kennedy drove his car off a bridge on the island of Chappaquiddick landing upside down in the water. He escaped but his passenger, who he may or may not have been f*cking, died.

He didn't report it until they found the body for various reasons depending on who you believe. Lots of political stuff followed.

Jason Clarke plays the Senator. That's him who starred in zero dark thirty and Dawn of the Planet of the Apes so I thought it might be good. It started out quite promising but became crap real quick.
