Blackpool Villan (my new fav band thread)

Hey up pal.. well it's been a long time coming and to be fair man I can't believe now that i've not been into them long before..

The Courteneers are officially my new fav band, heard the new album at Christmas at the Brother in laws and went straight out and got it, got St Jude too..

    Quality, absolute quality mate..

Nice one mate I knew you wouldn't let me down, they've some hardcore following have the Cour****ers. I've always backed em from the St.Jude days.. Liam Fray's lyrics takes some beating for words most lads can relate to.. I've seen them loads of times mate I'd definitely be putting that one on a bucket list if I was you.. A proper live band..

With the cd to Concrete Love there's an extra dvd of the full gig at castlefield bowl Manchester, that was some gig from what I remember..

"We're your band, we're not theirs"

Yes mate I've got that Extra Love cd and the live gig is quality.. know what you mean about a hardcore following as my mate at work is forever going to see them, in fact he's lost count of the times he's seen them.. gonna tag along next time.

St Jude is in my top albums of all time pal, great lyrics that you can relate too like you say, great raw vocals (which have changed of late in my opinion) just an album you can't help sing along too and a real feel good vibe to it.

St Jude is an absolute banger of an album mate, followed closely the the 2nd one 'Falcon'.. I loved 'Anna' as well, another top album. The newer ones were trying to go a little bit more radio friendly, but there sounds still there. Especially live... They come into their own on stage.. When they play live they play the set list you'd choose yourself, none of this plugging a new album *******s that most bands do.. I've followed them years mate seen them all over and them lads have never let me down once, if you ever get the chance mate take it, they'll blow ya away..

Singing along to "what took you so long" is an experience especially when Fray sings the line from the James song 'Tommorow'

Top band, top fans... Can't fault any of it...

    Not nine**** forever!
