Thread: Battle at the bottom - Dundee United

re: Battle at the bottom - Dundee United

I thought I would try some of that Monday night drinking that a poster mentioned last week. So, here goes, 3 - 1 to the Steelmen. Remember, you heard it here first.

Your right good to dream but usually dreams don't come true and i fear the worst tonight as could well be a nightmare but hope I'm wrong

I am pessimistic but hoping I am wrong. Saturday was imo not a blip it was cruel reality, I am quite fearful of a loss and the consequences ther in. We have dropped like a stone since Devember, fair enough s couple of late goals have done us in. However the Hearts result and Kilmarnock result are not blips rather they are indicative of system error. Playing not to lose is killing us we can't defend and coupled with only one up front and aimless punt upfield AKA the long ball is futile certainly it is not imo a formula for success. Tough times ahead and will be even tougher if we lose tonight. Mom the Well.

You've only had to suffer since the start of the year, we've had to suffer since the start of the season. Would you believe that since our jammy win back in early August at Fir Park we have managed just TWO more league wins. I do hope both you & ourselves remain in the top division, needs us I think. But Killie will be saying the same. Accies must go?!

I rarely go OTT by saying games before April/May are 'must win' but this one sure as hell is 'must not lose'. Win and we'll be eighth - surely safe from 12th and while still in the battle to avoid the play-off, we'll have put some bodies between us and 11th which is pretty important. Lose though and we'll be on the verge of having squandered an almost unsquanderable (!) advantage in the space of about a month and be in full on crisis mode. I'd be thrilled with a point but I don't think we'll get it...

Smed. I genuinely dont mind your team and I hope you stay up but not at our expense. Shambles. There is no other way to describe Motherwell . We are a team of old men and duds and I believe you will win comfortably. Any kind of pressing game has us $hiting ourselves. Best of luck ( but not tonight ).
