    Remember when

You used to have a favourite player.

    Shaun Goodwin.

    Richard Finney.

    Gerry Gow.

    Ronnie Moore.

    Bobby Williamson.

Loads more I can remember but in this team I just dont have one.

Does anyone feel a affiliation with any of our current players??

Certainly a disconnect between team and fans now. Remember our run from LG 1 to Championship. Team and fans we as one.

Success of course helps but a turnover of 100 players in 3 seasons has to be the main reason why we are not now as one. Alongside our application at times.

Warnock and Blackwell can maybe reunite us but it will take some good results to start the turn. It's hard to sing etc for long when your team looks like it's disorganised and lacking effort. I don't aim that one at current squad, just saying our fans have found it tough to support the goings on, on and off the field. I go to away matches as well and support is better but still nothing like it was.

I believe we can stay up now that we have NW and KB. Maybe my heart speaking but I'm not a doomster yet.

It's hard to have an affinity with the current lot when we don't have any stand out players and most of them will be gone at the end of the season anyway.
Frecks is the only one in the squad who merits any real respect but unfortunately injuries are getting the better of him and he hasn't played anywhere near enough times this season. UTM.

big paul stancliffe , tony tiger towner, most recent ... for 100% effort and those Wembley goals .. revell .. ambitious but .. brilliant ... brought a tear to my eye all we have now is misfits

what a shame the Wembley squad was split up so drastically :/ we had for once got to know the players just like 80/81
