Supablue, therein lies the problem. You are correct that if the post was advertised I am sure there would be no shortage of applicants however just how many of these would be what you and the rest of us want. The majority will be the usual suspects of the merry-go-round mangers sacked from their previous posts and simply looking for new employer to pay their mortgage. No thank you, Pelligrini and Mourinho would fit the bill but might be otherwise occupied
The BoD have made decent appointments in the recent past, with McPherson beginning the obvious exception to this, and I trust them to continue to manage the club and will only make a change if they think it is necessary. I am also sure that they have long term plan and this year is one of treading the waters of the mid table after the tumultuous changes at the end of last season.
