    Partick Thistle -- 24h on

This strange season has us only 3 points behind Dundee in sixth place with five games to go to the split.

Is it too late for a charge and a top half finish? - view external link

Not too late if we followed up with another win but that's our problem this year as they get our hopes up then flop next game you will have a better answer in 2 weeks after accies and Utd games

I suspect that gap will widen shortly there are too many games in hand involving several teams that should see it very difficult to hit the top 6. Thistle have 3 games in hand on many if they win them they will shoot into tp 6 comfortably but if they lose it will no doubt allow other in top six to stretch the gap. However this league is full of ****e inc Aberdeen and Celtic so who knows. Though Id happliy settle for tenth see Accies ****ed over and try and forget this dire season as quickly as possible.

Yes, Partick do have games in hand but it involves a very busy schedule for them with several midweek matches. They'll pick up points but not maximum ones. .

Yeah and if they dont their opponents above us will get points therefore by definition making it harder than it looks now for us to get into the top 6

We're not going to make the top six - we could maybe make up the points on one side above us, it's hugely unlikely we'll get the combination of results we need including Thistle's games in hand to make up the points on what is effectively three teams.

Like Stevie, I will happily take 10th and put this crap-fest of a season behind us. We didn't expect much but it was hoped that after Baraclough did enough, just to keep us up last term, this would be the transitional year before we could hope to be competitive in 2016/17- instead it's almost a completely wasted season where we achieved nothing but keep our heads above water.

With what is almost certainly going to be a tougher league next season, that could prove costly. But McGhee produced one big summer turnaround before, we have to hope he can do it again.

Nothing less than 8th spot would be a poor show this season - however, I'll settle for a poor show and take 10th !
