    5 points now

With the Shire winning at Clyde tonight, the gap between ourselves and them is now narrowing, and they have a game in hand over us. A few weeks ago we had opened up what looked like a points difference that the Shire would find difficult to claw back but it is now looking decidedly slim. If things go against us and for them we could be desperately trying to pull them back in a fortnight at Gayfield, a situation which most AFC supporters would describe as unacceptable to say the least. The board MUST look very seriously at the situation and decide if the current management team have the ability to keep us away from the dreaded bottom spot. With the squad we have we should have been title challengers IMO and not dragging around the bottom end of the table. The players have the ability and skills necessary but do the management duo? Desperate times indeed.

There's a thread started every other day on forums or people moaning on social media, nothing's going to happen. Massive OG from the board, no matter what happens they're not coming out of this well by appointing them in the first place and letting it get to this stage. If Hislops private messaging people left right and centre having a go at fans like I've read elsewhere and they're still there then what does that say....?

Board so out of touch with how the fans feel it's scary. If we get relegated they should be ashamed of themselves.

I think all we can do now is hope and pray that we get a few results before the season end to secure safety, big couple of games coming up. Then we can deal with the chuckle brothers at the end of April.

I don't think they have a game in hand. We have a much better goal difference

Quite right Tim. They don't have a game in hand. My mistake. Just as well you were paying attention. ????

It,s embarrassing to even contemplate this club being in a relegation quandry. But the harsh reality is we are to me the writing was on the wall from day one as Lewis Coult, Jamie Clarke and Hay were found to be not up to scratch , maybe a bit harsh on Clarke and Hay who could still be squad players but Coult was never going to work especially in one man attack????. From that day we have been playing catch up and to this current crops credit they have dug out results to get us at least of the bottom, but for how long. We really need to play two up top from now on I'm sure the rest of the beleaguered lichties support what's left of them would agree in a Rutherford, Hester partnership !!!Don't hold up much hope for Saturday if Ricky suspended even worse , then on too a massive game against the mighty East Stirling!!!
