Unfortunately money can pull a club to pieces and from last season in we are
    Witnessing that I do beleive.

That steady building process that in four and half years got us to the dizzy hights of 7th on equal pts with the club in 13th place????

Seeing as we only spent serious money last summer, your assertion would seem incorrect

Not my assertion at all...... Before last season they were tying up existing players on big money contracts and spending money in the transfer market. Then in panic after christmas last season moneybags being thrown at it in panic with the likes of bent and Ince etc. That was a sticking plaster on a broken club. Then just buying players rather than building a team had resulted in this. A scenario both ramondo and I always said was the probability of having a sugar daddy owner!!!

Before last summer who exactly were the "big" players signed in the transfer market??? Yes players were signed on new contracts at the end of McClarens first season and the loans brought in in the second season were ahrdly sticking plaster, one might argue they weren't needed.

So buying players isn't building a team? How do you work that out? Clough bought players he didin't magic them from thin air did he? yes the players bought last transfer windo

Interested yesterday to see an interview with Ranieri which pretty much summed up what's wrong with us at the moment - he was asked about his approach to football and stated that he preferred to play counter-attacking football and was lucky that he had the players at Leicester that allowed him to do that - BUT, that if he hadn't got those players, it was his job as the manager to find a system that suited the players that he had got - whereas we are still trying to force players into a system that isn't working at the moment and Wassall doesn't seem to have the balls or tactical nous to try something different that will suit our players. We're crying out for pace yet he takes Christie out of the side and insists on playing Johnson as a left winger while Camara can't get a sniff of a game. Wassall is guilty of doing what the majority of England managers have done for the past 30 years - he's picking his match day starting 11 based on reputation/transfer fee/Mel's requirement for youth/w

Mcclaren came in and with the same squad as what clough had got the team going.those players who clough bought in as a group worked well but under poor management struggled to get the results.mcclaren came in and got them buzzing, those same players played there hearts out and even when not playing up to scratch would pull together to get the result.they played for each other.but with the addition of ince and bent on bigger money and ince having a **** attitude things weren't going as planned.now you've spent big and that togetherness has gone they don't fight cause the core has been ripped apart with big money players not pulling there weight which looks like it's upset the dressing room regards to the players that fought for each other.all that building has gone down the ****ter.

There may be some truth in that and one wonders what the 5 and 4 year contracts handed out to some players has had an influence?
