Cresswell makes some valid points, imo, when he balances realism against pessimism. 1600 core support is not great but it could be, and has been, worse.
Against all that, clubs like Hamilton and especially Ross County have shown that they can climb higher without being substantially bigger than ourselves.

yes when you see those 2 flying high in the premier ,you have to wonder why queens cant be going along a similar path .

No offence hopefully Ewan. You are of course correct but I was meaning the Cowdenbeath point more in jest than anything factual.

The major difference between Ross County and Queen of the South is that County are bankrolled by the mega rich Roy Macgregor. Queens have no similarly rich sponsor (which implies no criticism of Billy Hewitson and his BOD).

As for Hamilton Accies , it is not if they will be relegated but when will they be relegated. The one big advantage they have over Queens is that Hamilton is in the populous central belt only a few miles from Glasgow. As I have said so often: geography and demography.

yep i get your point cresswell ,hamilton are in the central belt which forces a team outwith that area ie queens to pay bigger wages to tempt them to dumfries ,but al in all we are realy a central belt team aswell as we do all our training in the central belt ,its only match days the players need to travel down this way .
