It's not as simple as reducing admission prices unfortunately . A football ground needs to be a welcoming place , a place where you can go to and are aloud to enjoy yourself without any hassle from the authorities . The legislation brought in by the Scottish Government has scared people away from the stadiums . If somebody steps out of line by all means deal with them but don't go looking for trouble when it's not there
Palmerston has been like a library this season since the young team were made to feel not welcome by the club .
Queens MUST go out their way to encourage them back and let know their vocal support is welcomed
Queens must also concentrate on the dwindling JUNIOR BLUES membership this Summer . Their support is the future of our club

84 yards you are correct, we should welcome the Young Team back with open arms, but on condition that they don't set off flares, - its as simple as that.

I'm not going into the 'why's and why nots,' but we cannot have elderly fans, - who after all are the life blood of the game scared to death by a few fans who might come along for a few games, - if they can be bothered.

I don't buy into this sanctimonious ****e that the BOD and the police are to blame for the Young Team not coming, - its the fact that the Young Team deliberately looked for trouble with the police and some people who were old enough to be their fathers were the instigators!

So drummers, singers young and old, please come back to Palmy as often as you like, but please forgive me for stating the bleeding obvious: please leave your flares and your foul and abusive language towards the police the LGBT community and the opposition at home.

Let's be honest , there was very little trouble caused by the young team . Those that did were dealt with accordingly . Can't recall ever seeing and flares but there's was the odd smoke bomb . Having spoken to a few of the lads they confirmed they no longer attend because of they way police or stewards constantly stare or stand behind them for 90 minutes which they find very intimidating
As for foul and abusive language then look no further than the older generation in the old stand who seem to get away with it week in week out .
Also in January we saw alcohol being consumed in the hospitality area of the mainstand during ladies day . Now , can you imagine what would of happened if one of the young team had done that on the terrace . They'd have been arrested and faced a ban from the club . Hope whoever's in charge of that Police it better next year or is it a case of one rule for them and one rule for the others !!!!!

Statistics relating to attendances at games in Scotland are like any other statistics: they come somewhere after damned lies. Published attendances bear no relation to actual attendances. For example, Celtic may well have around 25,000 bums on seats but the published attendance will still be around 45,000 (ie the number of season tickets sold plus the number of tickets sold for that particular game). Comparing attendances at games in one country with attendances in another is only meaningful if comparing attendances at games of a comparable level. There are many non-league clubs in England that have attendances substantially higher than many, if not most, league teams in Scotland. Unbelievably, Guernsey, who play in the eighth tier of English football have an average attendance of 731. Most teams in the Scottish second and third divisions would give their eye teeth for an average attendance of 731. You may find these statistics on average attendances of some interest:
