Charlton's final game of the season ended in a heavy defeat at the hands of League Champions Burnley who were at least able to secure the Championship title with this 3 - 0 win.
The game was disrupted on a good few occasions by the usual mindless protesters with flares and other missiles thrown onto the pitch and intimidating behaviour aimed at the CEO.
Burnley's three goals were scored by Sam Vokes on 20 minutes, Boyd on 49 and Gray on 51 minutes. Charlton had a few good efforts in the first half but were fairly meek in the second as Burnley assumed control of the match.
Jose Riga resigned as Charlton Manager after the game, despite having another year on his contract. The owners will now search for a new Manager for League 1 with the credentials to take the Club back up again.
