If we don't get to move we should all write to our council and suggest the land is turned in to a travellers site, this would keep it green.

    I would say

    * We are positive for the club and the application.

    * You guys are negative for the club and the application.

Its far better a place to be positive instead of the frustration and negativity that you guys are portraying

AGCC survey was 61% travel by car and the percentage on buses for big games is higher, and likely to be even more at Kingsford.

If you want to grow crowds and have people turning up and spending earlier it needs to be easily accessible by public transport.

    You don't use buses.
W.A.N.K.S own figures last night showed 72%

    Fantastic idea.
Put that forward to the No Kingsford group

With the AWPR and the P&R's, I'm seriously considering taking the bus once the stadium is completed

72% currently drive to the fitba, Kingsford is on the corssroads of TWO dual carraigeways (not single track road as you alluded to). transport links couldn't be any better.
    Now you're at it.

Not even if we had a tram, metro rail service to the stadium?

Like most out of town stadiums in Europe have.

The A944 stops being a dual carriageway at the junction with Lang Stracht.

This is some way from the city centre.

No kingsford are obviously wrong. The AGCC survey is no doubt accurate for Pittodrie which showed 61%.

As kkong said the dual carriageway stops 4 miles from the city centre.

Public transport links are almost non existent for Kingsford. X17, 218, 11, P&R's?

In fairness, I think FS meant "couldn't be any better" in comparison with other sites. Europe in general has far better train links than the U.K., where we locate our stadium ain't going to solve that problem.
Anybody who drives to Pittodrie knows it is terrible to get in and out of. Kingsford does have the advantage of being directly on two major roads.
Yes, traffic dispersion will be an issue on match days, but it can be done with temporary signals and traffic preferences. You simply cannot do that at Pittodrie due to the location.

Traffic dispersion will be an issue on match days but its an issue during rush hour every day in Aberdeen.

A precedent has already been set with the new AECC in Dyce being built. Its a similar distance away from a junction on the AWPR as Kingsford is and you'll have 12,500 folk attending there for gigs.
