Well min, I just looked up the attendance because I thought it was 40,000 odd but they said 36,000

It was as packed as I ever remember Pittodrie, friendly against Man Utd in 1972

Aberdeen v Hibs - Scottish Cup Quarter Final -24th March 1967 ( I was very young at the time) attendance 44,000. It was a 3 nil win.

Go on then when and who were we playing? Biggest crowd for me was around the 36000 - 40,000 mark. Celtic in the title run in around 1972 I think. Pretty frightening stuff getting out I remember. I was but a bairn but there were a lot of very stressed mannies in the crush.
