It’s as likely as us building that ground with little or no debt. Absolutely f*cking mental in fact

    It's not
It's possible for a new stadium of this size and costs.

Times change and there's a reason Cormack was welcomed back onto the board

Not sure how he worked that out but I suspect it falls intro the scaremongering category like the having to play European matches in Glasgow.
There are some clever chaps over on DonsTalk who do this for a living, they've modeled it and agree with the AFC number.

But, but, but if we close our eyes and cover our ears we can insist it's just bullish!t from the board

Like I've said a number of times, commercially you don't show your hand in negotiations and there was a lot of opportunities with a new stadium.
One potential is for the board to leave a legacy by filling any shortfall.

A number on here have said Milne wants this as a parting gift.
But it's not going to get any leverage for commercial negotiations if it's not approved.

Like Sir Ian Wood giving supporting the hospitals and schools, time change and sometimes those that have gained so much decide its time to give a little back.

Why wouldn't you show your hand? What would the purpose of not saying how you are going to fund it?

Have to say, you’re arguing from a strong position. If it’s unfair to ask how the stadiums being funded, what the debt we’ll be left with is, what it’ll actually look like (fan input my hole), pointing out the transport plan is f*cking hopeless etc, then there really isn’t much else

You think Milne might chip in? Good luck with that

Because they will be trying to commercially get as much as they can externally.
If you show your hand too much, it can affect investment.

Even if they knocked down the Main Stand and never built another stand Im sure the capacity would still be more than 12000.
