It is a shame, because coastal stadiums have a certain charm to them. Like Trabzonspor, shame we couldn't get the golf course at the beach

This is completely irrelevant. The first point comes down to cost! the new white heart lane is estimated to cost 1 Billion by the time it is finished and secondly, its down to each individual council to decide on planning. Aberdeen City Council have said in meetings between both them and the club, that redeveloping Pittodrie is very unlikely to get the go ahead and it would cost way more than the £50m mooted for Kingsford to redevelop Pittodrie and build training facilities.
