It's not going to be more expensive at all.

No need to buy the land.
Peppercorn rent and 99 year lease.

It's in the city's interest and we know our council will always do what's in the city's interest.

Which sums up most of your hypothesis.

You want a shiny new thing and that's all that matters.

I can't make my mind up weather your joking or deluded
I'll take it as joking given the city's interest comment

How is crippling long term debt best for the club?

You want a dream, even allowing for the dream to be in a daft location. Regression, would begin with the first brick laid at Kingsford. Confine to bin please.

You guys are portraying an issue with debt (which there may be a plan for) but then openly backing options which would be more expensive at least in nett terms.
You're putting emotions ahead of the financial options.

If I thought it was cheaper to redevelop Pittodrie or to move to the Kings links, I'd probably back that option, but the truth is it wouldn't.

Let's accept Kingsford does not happen and DM /The Doc, take the next opportunity away because we can give no commitment on progress. Detail out exactly what you think would be a realistic option and how much would it cost the club with that option?

I'm just not letting emotions rule my head.
I can see there is a lot of emotional attachment in this forum, but that's not necessarily best for the club.

Why don't you define the best option and how much would it cost?

Derek & Doc will be away if they get offered what they think is a better job. Try to get your head round that bit first

    I know that.
    I'm acutely aware.
They turned down Sunderland partly because of the uncertainty they saw there and because he believed in the project being proposed.
Without that clear signs of progress off the pitch, it will be harder to retain for as long as we can
