    Advantage Ayr ?

after they equalised in the 94th minute down at the Cleyhole - watching it on television I counted at least
7 players / manager who had once served Queens - big Ayr support in the 1,652 fans in attendance - 868 Honest Men

I watched this as well auld yin. Stranraer could easily have been two or three up going on the second half display. The Ayr keeper had a few top drawer saves and the wee blues will be gutted to concede ( a very nice strike actually) right at the death. I would expect Ayr to go through now though.

Was really surprised that Jamie Adams was still playing (for Ayr) then realised he is only 28 - it is 9 years since he made the first of his four loan spells at Queens and last year he was turning out in the South League for Wigtown and Bladnoch !

Jamie was unlucky with injuries . Would have played in the SPL for longer if he hadn't been dogged by these setbacks. Was an inspirational signing by McCall ( to be fair) when we were neck deep in relegation trouble nearly a decade ago.

It was pretty poor fair from both teams but if anything Stranraer probably just shaded it on the balance of the play. I saw nothing to worry about from Ayr's play today.
