    You could be right but he also gained promotion twice along with some remarkable giant killing cup acts against Hearts,Hibs,Inverness and St Mirren during his five year reign as manager.

    Big Reidy's record at Ayr was twice promoted and twice relegated - his win percentage from
    224 games being 39% - his next two moves were to a team in the Philippines and non - league
    Nuneaton Town - one year abroad and five months with the English club.

    was speaking to a fellow queens fan today ,he tells me billy reid former hamilton bos and ex queens players odds at a bookies plummeted from 60/1 into 6/1 ,must have been a bit of cash changed hands there .

    As far as I know wee Billy is still assistant coach at Ostersunds FC in Sweden under man of many English clubs
    Graham Potter. Billy played 170 games for Queens 1985 - 89 but as Dougal says Skelton is odds - on with Bet

    Fowler was criticised for being overly cautious and from what i've seen Reid's teams are no different.
