Thread: Migration to vBulletin

    Migration to vBulletin

Footymad should be migrating over to vBulletin sometime this week, if theres any down time that'll be why.
The new board is much more user friendly with more bells and whistles, which will hopefully attract members back to the board, old and new.
I sent a complaint out to the mods yesterday with a link to the new board so they can play with it, but I've not had any feedback yet.
If you did'nt get the email and you want to have a play, email me and I'll send you the link.

I have had a quick look but not had much chance to look in detail, seems alright.

one thing I did notice, it will only allow you to log in using your User Name not email address.

Had a bit of a play.
Couldn't figure out how to post an image directly. It posted a link for you to open instead.

Seems friendish rather than fiendish. Hopefully the site won't be constipated with ads and various other spam.

Above the text box on the right there are options for inserting video or images

Edit: your right, I can't upload a picture either, perhaps when the board goes live it will work?

    Will it be seemless?
Will it carry over all current status and users?
Will it be better than previous updates (hardly difficult)?
Will it restore something of the user friendly board we once had?

The vB version seems just as seemless as the old version, although the transition between old and new seemed so seamless that it was seemingly imperceptible.

    I did say "should"

vB is in testing mode still, Giving Moderators a chance to test the board and report any problems.
According to the back office the board will be going live on Monday
