I would have liked PEARSON- he would have had a bit of pay back on his mind.
This is the poll on the online Telegraph at 5.30pm
Who would you like to be the next Derby County boss?
Darren Wassall 3% --------Roberto Martinez 20% --------Gary Rowett 12%
Nigel Pearson 31% --------Mark Warburton 19% ---------Tim Sherwood 4%
Someone else 11%

Would rather stick with Wassall.
A legend in his own imagination.
Not so sure. Just seen my Uncle Wilf in B&Q - might not be significant...
be has well to keep wassall . i,d like martinez but i reckon his wages demands would be too much .Originally Posted by woolwhacker
I would be very happy with Tim Sherwood. He plays attacking football, gives the academy players a chance and has Premier League experience!

Thought he did quite well at Tottenham...50% win record.
Had enough of the team at Villa to get them to the 2015 Cup Final.
Lost some crucial players after that and nobody seemed to manage much at Villa last season.
Wouldn't have been my first choice but as has been said, we could do a lot worse and if it's him he'll have my support.
Interestingly...he was very critical of Villa's 'signing by committee' - with Lerner having the final say - last summer. Also claims to be a manager who 'shoots from the hip' and not a 'babysitter'. A bit of that might not go a
As usual we can hang him before his appointment confirmed, if it his him it's what he does not what he has done that is important????
So I can't have an opinion on who might manage the club I spend over a thousand quid a year supporting? If, big if, he gets the job I will support him, but I am completely underwhelmed, as I was with Clemence and am with Wassall.
